Republic of Mozambique: a third world country located in the southeastern continent of Africa. A country, though bordered by the Indian Ocean, where one must conquer many miles in order to quench thirst with pure drinking water. Such was the destination of our mission trip in fall of 2010.

Praise be to God for He does not discriminate between the rich and the poor, the noble and the lowly; the east and the west, the north and the south are equally dear to His heart. Hence, having received direction from the Lord, with much prayer and fasting, leaders of God Will Provide International Mission, along with support of the local church and those concerned about salvation of the perishing, initiated the missionary work in the village of Càsua.

Prior to arrival of the missionaries, a local church congregation lead by Pastor Jack in Santa Fogo, Mozambique, resolved to pray diligently for revival and spiritual changes within the region. Several months later, as an answer to continuous prayers, God miraculously crossed our paths with Pastor Jack, and today we share the testimony of the mission work as God’s great intervention.

Petr Nakhaychuk, director of God Will Provide International Mission, recollects from his visit to Mozambique, “In response to a dinner organized in Càsua, the missionaries were met with more than two thousand hungry villagers, many of whom received their first decent meal in a long time. Upon encountering a shortage of food, I witnessed a grim scene: a local guard began to beat and chase away several dozen of the children who were standing in line. Sorrow settled deep within my heart, and I acknowledged that much is left to be done in Africa.” ».

Where once no Christians existed, today a congregation of several hundred people regularly holds services. Where once the villagers’ thirst went unquenched, a well has been drilled and clean drinking water is now available in Càsua. Future plans for Africa include evangelism, organization of churches, construction of an orphanage, additional well drillings, and shipping containers to bring relief to the struggling Africans through action as well as Biblical instruction.
